AvPORTS is in the business of owning, leasing and managing airports and related airport infrastructure. Our portfolio of eight FAA-certificated airports makes us the undisputed leader in our industry. This is directly attributable to a Total Effort Airport Management mindset - TEAMSM - forged from our pioneering history of one-stop servicing and long term partnering, and shaped by a relentlessly, customer-focused executive team and employees at all levels of our organization. Our Corporate Lineage The history of our company began in 1927 as the Airport Division of Pan Am World Services, Inc., (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pan American World Airways, the original airline pioneer). Later, AvPORTS became owned by other world-class companies like Johnson Controls World Services, Inc. and Associate British Ports PLC, before becoming an AFCO Company in 2009. It was under these "best-in-class" owners that the core skills, for which we have become known and sought after today, were honed and mastered. AFCO (Aviation Facilities Company) is itself a developer and manager of airport infrastructure facilities in the US. It owns and operates over eight million square feet of on-airport cargo warehouse and apron space; as well as FBOs, GSE facilities, and off-airport parking lots. Our joining the AFCO family represents a strategic step that uniquely positions AvPORTS and AFCO to achieve a level of growth, and to add more value to our stakeholders, than the mere sum of our individual capacities could ever suggest. Our Vision and Overarching Objective Our vision for AvPORTS, within the AFCO Family, is to create greater wealth and economic activity at airports by adding more and more value to stakeholders. In pursuing it, our overarching objective is to continue to be the full-service provider-of-choice for public and private airport owners by offering the market's most comprehensive menu of airport services with unassailable proficiency and single-point accountability.
